HP ProCurve 1810G-24 SPAN port problem

I am using HP ProCurve 1810G-24 SPAN switch in my organisation. I have defined a SPAN port and connected a Total Recall VR Classic system with VoIP channels to it. The system is recording VoIP calls as expected.

However, I cannot access the system with Remote Manager. What is wrong?


The simple answer is we do not know why this particular switch does not allow normal IP communication to equipment connected to the SPAN port. The problem only happens with this particular switch. Customers with the same problem have opted for a different switch. We have tested D-Link, Alloy, Netgear, Linksys, Cisco and Edge-Core switches.
