Version 10.6.0 - Release date 7th July 2014

The 10.6.0 release is a major release of the Total Recall VR LinX technology which powers the new passive and active audio logging and call recording products.

The major inclusion in the 10.6.0 release is full support for recording Tait VRP streams as used in Tait MPT and DMR network. The implementation has been verified and approved by Tait as ready for commercial use.

In addition, 10.6.0 adds support for ‘locking’ recordings. Locked recordings are excluded from all attempts to remove them from systems as long as they stay locked.

Finally, 10.6.0 adds improvements to the Remote Manager Interface that enable the implementation of new generation client applications such as the new Total Recall VR Browser.

In summary, the release 10.6.0 includes:

  1. Active recording of Tait VRP stream in Tait DMR and MPT networks.
  2. Support for USB-3000 from DVSI as AMBE decoder.
  3. New recording flags:
    1. Multicast flag – set on recordings of multicast (group) calls or communication.
    2. Emergency flag – set on recordings of emergency calls or communication.
    3. Broadcast flag – set on recordings of broadcast calls or communication.
  4. Recording lock – a recording flag that excludes recordings from deletion attempts as long as the lock remains in place.
  5. Locked recordings are not removed after archiving even when the user selects to remove archived recordings.
  6. Improvements of the Remote Manager Interface that enables updates of recording metadata updates to propagate to TRC file headers irrespective of where the file resides.
  7. All audio players now support playing of multiple streams that are stored in TRC files.
  8. Support for PCIe USB port card with NEC uPD720201 chip. This eliminates the need to use USB hubs in systems with 3 or more analogue channel cards.
  9. The time zone data files were updated to version 2014d.

10.  The ObjectDB was updated to 2.5.5_14.

11.  The following defects were removed:

  1. Multiple instances of Remote Manager are no longer launched when double-clicking on a TRC file.
  2. It is no longer necessary to select the play button twice in Remote Manager to start paying recordings that reside on Total Recall VR systems.
  3. Remote Manager and other applications now display a warning if an MP3, HQVQ or AMBE vocoder is not available to use to play and export recordings in the respective audio formats.
  4. Remote Manager no longer the only application that registers itself as the application to play TRC files. In fact the Total Recall Audio Player is now the preferred application to open TRC files if installed on the system.
