Total Recall VR v10.5.0 / 9.14.0 Released!
Introducing major new functionality, including active RTP recording and preliminary support for Tait DMR call recording via VRP, Total Recall VR v10.5.0 represents a major step forward for our mission-critical voice logging solutions.
We are delighted to announce the release of our latest Total Recall VR software versions, 9.14.0 (MAX) and 10.5.0 (LinX)!
Version 10.5.0 (LinX Omnia, LinX Altus, LinX Evolution, LinX Essence)
* We have introduced support for active RTP stream recording. Total Recall VR is now able to record RTP streams in active mode by receiving RTP packets on UDP ports. This type of communication is used by many types of IP radios, consoles, intercoms etc., so this development opens up a vast new landscape of potential end users.
* This release includes preliminary support for Tait Radio VRP Protocol, used in Tait DMR and MPT networks to record audio. Right now Total Recall VR supports recording VRP packets that carry G.711 or AMBE encoded audio (please note that playback of AMBE audio is pending). We are in the process of obtaining factory approval from Tait for our recording solution, so watch this space!
* Multiple improvements have been to our SIP call recording interface, including full support for Jacques Electronics SIP products and 'Anfer Scenario' environments.
* Total Recall VR LinX Altus now offers RAID-1 hard drive storage as an option.
* General OS and system updates: memory usage and system database have been improved, for even faster search times and visibility. Automatic archiving has been tweaked to include recordings that had previously been manually archived. We have improved the Remote Manager interface to make integration easier for third party developers. Time zone date updated to the latest 2013i version. A security update has also been implemented for the NTP function. Multiple minor bug fixes have also been included.
